OnTopMag is an online music magazine based in Sheffield and was created by Josh Sleight and Ben Ryder. It was created to represent independent creatives and enthusiasts working/wanting to work in the music industry. The magazine will showcase a variety of projects from individuals (musicians, writers, artists etc.) who have a true passion for all things music, serving as a platform from which their voices can be heard and names remembered. As independent musicians ourselves, we wanted to use the skills that we have to help others break into an industry that’s not only highly competitive but also very expensive, as well as currently being overwhelmingly unpredictable. It goes without saying that OnTopMag is inclusive of all people from all backgrounds, offering equal opportunities to people that want to do something that they can be proud of - it’s also just kind of fun.
